Call for Presentations and Tutorials:
Fourth SEI Software Architecture Technology User Network (SATURN) Workshop

The fourth SATURN workshop SATURN 2008, scheduled for 28 April–1 May is open to all software architecture practitioners. It will bring together engineers, architects, technical managers, and product managers to exchange best practices in developing and acquiring software architectures and using them to build predictable, high-quality systems using both SEI and non-SEI architectural methods, techniques, and practices.

The keynote speakers scheduled for SATURN 2008 are Philippe Kruchten, professor of software engineering at the University of British Columbia, and Eóin Woods, software and enterprise architect at the UBS Investment Bank.

For SATURN 2008, we invite submissions for presentations that discuss the challenges and experiences in:

• meeting quality attribute requirements
• designing and maintaining architectures
• predicting quality attribute behavior
• making practical and informed tradeoffs early
• determining how software architecture relates to both system and enterprise architecture
• determining the value or ROI of software architecture practices
• planning future directions in software architecture technology
• aligning business, enterprise, and software architecture concerns
• implementing efforts to improve the state of architectural practices across an organization
• evolving an architecture parallel to business and mission goals
• applying software architecture techniques, methods, and practices (case studies and lessons learned)
• completing other tasks related to software architecture

We also invite submissions for half-day tutorials on topics related to software architecture.
